your running coach
Hey! I’m Breona
I am a New Jersey native currently residing in San Diego, California. Outside of running, I am a wife and mom to a handsome and genius little boy. Running for me hasn’t stopped since becoming a mom. If anything, it has propelled me forward and inspired me to be a better runner and athlete because I have someone watching me.
When I’m not running or hitting the gym, I enjoy going on long walks, baking, spending time with my friends who are family and looking up travel deals. I truly love making life an adventure and want to share that passion through running and fitness.
My Fitness Journey
When I was a teenager, I played basketball and ran track and field but mostly focused on short distances (e.g., 100m, 200m). It wasn’t until my freshman year in college that I got into distance running and decided to run my first 5k where I also raised money to buy toys for kids at need during the holidays. That race in 2010 changed the trajectory of my life, and I still feel the ripples today.
Since then, I have ran races including a 5k, 8 miler, 10k, half marathon, marathon AND ultramarathon! I love pushing my own limits and have leveraged the gym to build a stronger body and mind to help support me as an athlete.

If you could train anyone, who would it be and why?
I would love to train my mom, who passed away in 2022. This may sound crazy but I have discovered so much about myself and would love to share that with the person who was and still is my best friend.
Whatโs your favourite Running moment or memory?
My favorite fitness moment was when I came off the last climb after my ultra and could see the finish line. I instantly felt tears well up because I couldn’t believe I did this, especially at 2 years postpartum!
If you werenโt a running coach, what would you be doing?
Well actually I am a full-time Project Manager in the Medical Tech industry. While this is my main focus, being a running coach is my real passion and dream.
Whatโs the craziest thing youโve done for a workout?
When I lived in New Jersey, I really wanted to get in a run even though it was only 30 degrees outside. The run was great, but I was in bed sick for a week after haha.
Whatโs your favourite way to stay active?
I love to mix running with lifting in the gym. I started light but now can manage lifting heavy while running 25-30 miles and i feel like each workout gets easier and better.
